My second co-op work term at the MedicalTech startup QDoc was a huge opportunity for me not just to continue growing my skills as a developer, but also to apply the skills I picked up working at Gryd to bring some fresh ideas QDoc's design and product!
My biggest project here was a complete redesign of QDoc's physician portal, which I developed singlehandedly from start to finish and began as my own initiative. I redesigned over 100 files and components to help improve UI/UX across the board!
I also helped establish new cross-team design standards by building a Figma-based UI kit, and worked on a number of other features for QDoc's web apps through engineering, testing, and integration!

After my co-op term at the PropTech startup Gryd ended, I was offered to stay on for the summer and fill a new role to help continue developing some of the products I worked on as well as contribute full-stack code to some new ones.
I'm extremely excited for the IoT project I worked on to eventually release to the public. Stay tuned!

My first co-op work term at the PropTech startup Gryd was a ton of fun! I led the work on some major projects for their GrydPark division that you'll hopefully see launched soon.
Day to day, I designed product wireframes, flowcharts, specs, and roadmaps to guide our development team, and collaborated cross-functionally with devs, designers, and stakeholders to meet our client's needs.
Summer 2020, 2021, 2022
At AAFC, I had the opportunity to be a part of over 30+ crop research studies, helping develop some really interesting solutions for Canadian farmers. As part of a close-knit student team, I collected crop data on the field and organized it in Excel so that it could be easily analyzed by researchers.
I was also the author 2 literature reviews, breaking down complex information concisely to help researchers write published papers!

In my second year of University, I served as the representative for 150+ graduating engineers, speaking formally to 80+ UMES members and casting votes on their behalf. I also led the planning for our graduating ceremonies, and connected with sponsors to keep our funding secure over COVID-19.

In my first year, I learned about the formal procedures within UMES, represented 300+ engineering freshmen, and led the planning for a ton of fun events. My two favorites were our 'Bob Ross Paint Night' and our 'November Nintendo Night'!

Domino's was my first team-oriented job, my main job throughout high school, and the job where I met some of my closest friends today!
I ran the store mostly by myself during the day, preparing orders while also getting the store and its inventory ready for the supper rush. During the rush, I played an anchoring role as our dough stretcher and often prepared 200+ items in an hour along with a team of 3-4 other line cooks!
I played a managerial role for the store and its employees, making sure orders were always high quality and ready under our target numbers.

My first job!
As a teen, I refereed youth (9-18 y/o) soccer games, with the older divisions requiring some pretty heavy concentration and confidence in making decisions since I was alone. I had to communicate my calls and their reasonings to players, coaches, and parents, and resolve any conflicts that would come up as a result!
